Nora Griffin was born in 1982 in New York City. She grew up on East 4th Street and West 4th Street and lived for a few years on South 4th Street. Nora currently lives and works in Red Hook, Brooklyn where there is no 4th street. She received an MFA from Columbia University in 2011 and a BA from Oberlin College in 2005. Nora has taught at RISD, Cooper Union, Columbia University, and SVA, and has written criticism for Art in America and The Brooklyn Rail.
