Nora Griffin was born in 1982 in New York City. She grew up on East 4th Street and West 4th Street and lived for a few years on South 4th Street. She received an MFA from Columbia University in 2011 and a BA from Oberlin College in 2005. Nora teaches painting at Cooper Union and writes for Art in America and The Brooklyn Rail.
